On September 28, 2014 Tony Ekpo posted the photo above, on his instagram page, and wrote “I’m not alone this I know
@onyrockinggold #sweet #dark #lovely #photograph #love". What followed next was a torrent of comments. "Mkpo ke love", 'everybody go wan comment'. He first posted Onofiok's photo (below) minutes before with the subtle introduction, "She is Dark, Bold and lovely. #lips #intelligent #dark #goingplaces".

“That is the end of my story, Clap for me!” and I clapped my hands five time, ‘kwak, kwak, kwa,kwa, kwa, kwak’ at the end of Tony’s rendition on the journey that led to the imminent commitment; The Commitment…the nuptial kpoi-kpoi-tre between Onofiok Umo, Telecoms Public Relations player and Ntewo ‘Tony’ Ekpo, former Model turned Fashion Choreographer cum Photographer and CEO, House of Gazelles.
KARDYNAL POINT: How did you meet Onofiok
TONY NIFTY: Hahaha
Can you remember that time when Ibom Model Association was formed?
I went to collect the form to vie for the Presidency of the association at Udeme Mma Essien’s place. Udeme had asked me to wait for her at this shop where cloths are sold around her neighbourhood, so she could bring me the form.
Onofiok was inside that that clothing store. That is where we met.
KARDYNAL POINT: Oh! Really!
TONY NIFTY: She was undertaking one Graduate Training Programme that was sponsored by the State Government around that place at the time...do you know that resource center?
KARDYNAL POINT: Ok! That place at Obio Imo…
TONY NIFTY: Yes, Obio Imo.
KARDYNAL POINT: So what happened next?
TONY NIFTY: While waiting, we got talking; general ‘gisting’ and I found her to be very interesting, witty and different from the average girl. Next thing, I requested for her telephone number. Do you know a telephone? (General Laughter)
Weeks later I asked her to be my friend but she said she was in a relationship already…this was in 2010. So I just let it be.
KARDYNAL POINT: …just like that?
TONY NIFTY: We lost contact but I still had her call digits on my phone…
By 2012, I ran into her again on my visit to Uyo, we started talking and eventually started dating. But by 2013 we broke up ‘cos of some issues we had at that time. By Easter Sunday 2014, we reconnected and that led us to where we are now; ‘About to Commit something’
KARDYNAL POINT: Ok.
TONY NIFTY: She might not be an aphrodite or the most beautiful but trust me, she is the CHOSEN one and the best woman I have ever met.
That is the end of my Story, Oya clap for me. lol.

TONY NIFTY: hahhahahaha!
KARDYNAL POINT: Congratulations on the Journey so far Mr. Ekpo.
Onofiok and her beau will be joined on 7th and 9th May 2015 at their Traditional Marriage and Wedding respectively. Traditional Marriage is by 12 noon at Government Primary School, Nwot Ikono.
