ASCENSION MONDAY

Exactly 40 days after the ash had been taken by the Roman Catholics, the Easter holiday is the only Christian feast with no fixed date unlike CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR that has a mandatory date;
which is December 25th and January the 1st respectively. Easter is being calculated as the first Sunday after the full moon, this full moon usually appears after March 21st so the date for Easter varies from the 22nd of march to the 25th of April. Orthodox Christianity base its calculations of March 22nd on the Roman calendar where 22nd of March corresponds to April 3rd in the Gregorian calendar, therefore the celebration of Easter varies between April 4th to the 8th of May according to 21st century calculations.

Easter is celebrated as the day the LORD JESUS CHRIST resurrected from death after 3days..
The Easter holidays begins from a friday named GOOD FRIDAY originally the day JESUS CHRIST was tortured to death some 3000yrs ago and resurrected on a sunday named as the EASTER SUNDAY, the next day is called EASTER MONDAY, also known as the ASCENSION DAY.
Easter holidays are one of the shortest holidays celebrated. It runs between 3 to 4 days and is a period of mixed feelings; weeping and joy. I personaly broke the easter holiday to sections and i think many Christians should connect with these. Easter is a season of...

PAIN -  This period normally begins from Good Friday when JESUS CHRIST was tourtured, whiped, booed and nailed to the cross... Jesus christ had to go through all this for the redemption of man/mankind.Christians should atleast remember this day every year for all the troubles one man went through so everyone could be saved.

MOURNING - This period begins from the moment he died::: in the Catholic faith it is almost a sin to eat meat on this day as it is believed that any meat eaten is the body of CHRIST. We all should mourn his death and not  drink and merry alone.

CELEBRATION/THANKSGIVING - The celebration should begin the day he resurrected, then we should be thankful for the price he paid.

THOUGHTFULNESS - This section should begin from Easter Monday, the day he originally ascended back to heaven and gave his disciples his last words. Every human should have a deep thought on this day, think about all the troubles one man went through. Live your life with a purpose and always have at the back of your mind that another person had to die so you could live. Dont live a life that would make him think he died for nothing.

I appreciate all what God has done for humanity through his son, Jesus Christ.  I will put my pen down but that will be after I ask this question.... Jesus Christ died for you.. What have you done for him?
Think about it fellaz.. My name is Eze. They call me Eze D' Entertainer.. .Have a blessed and fulfilled EASTER CELEBRATION.. Peace!
