ORUBEBE'S DRAMATIS AT INEC COLLATION CENTRE



Elder Godsday Orubebe attempted to disrupt the announcement of the election result of the 2015 Presidential election at the International Conference Centre at Abuja on the 31st of March, 2015 but he was Jega'd.
Other delegates surrounded Orubebe where he sat, but he refuse to let go the microphone and continued his tirade.The ex-Minister
also accused Jega of handing out results to the All Progressive Congress (APC) to publish on its site. "Jega you have been compromised, we are no longer confident in you", Orubebe said while causing a scene at the centre.


Elder Peter Godsday Orubebe was appointed Nigerian minister of Niger Delta on 6 April 2010 when Acting President Goodluck  Jonathan announced his new cabinet. Orubebe became a Supervisory Councilor and later Chairman of Burutu LGA. In 2007, President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua appointed him Minister of Special Duties.

Later he became Minister of Niger Delta Affairs when that ministry was created in December 2008. In January 2010, he said that the proposed 10% equity share policy on infrastructural development in the Niger Delta Region will make vandalism and crisis a thing of the past.
